Meanwhile, Arkham Asylum administrator Quincy Sharp takes the credit for bringing his charges back under control that night, using this false pretense to successfully become the elected Mayor of Gotham City. A mutated, beastly, Joker attempted to destroy Batman during the chaos, but after his eventual defeat was left sickly and weakened.
